First Day at my new blog

OK.  I'm just going to give this blogging thing a little try.  I definitely wouldn't consider myself a "writer", so this is a bit of an aberration for me.  The thing is, I really think those backgrounds are cute.  Anyway, just to get started, I'll put up a picture of myself and the fam.  Feel free to comment.
